Jakarta, INTI - At the prestigious Artificial Intelligence Innovation Summit (AIIS) 2024, held on August 13, 2024, at JI-Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, the primary focus of discussions was the enormous potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping Indonesia's future. This event was an integral part of the Indonesia Technology and Innovation (INTI) 2024 exhibition, the largest technology exhibition in Indonesia, attended by thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors.

AIIS 2024 was a highlight of the INTI 2024 exhibition, which took place from August 12 to 14, 2024. This exhibition was not just a showcase of technology but also a platform for collaboration between government, academia, and industry to formulate AI adoption strategies in Indonesia.

Nezar Patria, Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized the urgency of AI adoption as a strategic step to bring Indonesia into the digital era. "AI is the future, and Indonesia must be ready to embrace it. With AI, we are not only talking about innovation but also about sustainability and inclusivity," said Nezar Patria.

At AIIS 2024, various crucial topics were discussed, including how AI can support digital transformation across various sectors, from healthcare and education to the creative industry. One of the interesting discussions was how AI can improve the quality of education in Indonesia through adaptive learning platforms tailored to each student's needs.

Additionally, AI has great potential to enhance the efficiency of the healthcare sector, with the ability to analyze patient data quickly and accurately, providing better diagnoses and predicting epidemics before they occur. This potential makes AI one of the most anticipated technologies to be implemented in Indonesia.

Innovators at the INTI 2024 exhibition showcased various AI-based products and solutions ready to support various industry sectors. One product that attracted attention was an AI system that can automatically detect defects in manufactured goods, thereby improving manufacturing quality and efficiency.

Moving forward, the biggest challenge for Indonesia is how to integrate AI into existing systems without ignoring social and cultural factors. This requires a holistic approach involving all stakeholders, including the government, industry, and society.

With the AIIS 2024 event, Indonesia is on the right track to becoming one of the leading technology innovation hubs in Southeast Asia. Initiatives like this will strengthen the AI ecosystem in Indonesia, open new opportunities, and accelerate digital economic growth.
