According to the gathered data, the majority of home internet users in Indonesia opt for subscription packages costing between Rp100,001 and Rp300,000 per month. In 2023, 66.27% of users chose this price range, and this number increased to 67.4% in 2024. This indicates that this price range remains a popular choice among the population.

Indonesia Fixed Broadband Users

The number of fixed broadband users in Indonesia has also increased. In 2023, 25.7% of households used fixed broadband services. This number rose to 27.4% in 2024, showing an increase of 1.7%. This growth reflects the rising awareness and need for stable and fast internet connectivity at home.

User Insights

Insights derived from user data indicate that the majority still prefer internet subscription costs in the range of Rp100,000 to Rp300,000. This price range is considered affordable and provides good value for users, thus remaining the primary choice. The increase in the number of fixed broadband users also shows that the public increasingly recognizes the importance of having reliable internet connectivity at home.

Challenges and Opportunities

While these trends show progress, there are still challenges to overcome. High infrastructure costs and geographical challenges in remote areas remain major obstacles in expanding internet access. However, with government support and technological innovation, these challenges can gradually be addressed.

There are significant opportunities for internet service providers to expand their reach and improve their service quality. With the rising demand for faster and more stable internet connections, providers can invest in new technologies and expand their networks to reach more users.
