According to the latest data from the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), there are several categories of entertainment content that are most visited by the public via the internet in 2024. This article will discuss the trends of the most accessed internet entertainment content in Indonesia, complete with the latest statistical data and analysis of changes in trends from the previous year.

Online Videos

Online videos have become the most visited entertainment content category by internet users in Indonesia in 2024. The percentage of users accessing online videos has significantly increased from 55.92% in 2023 to 76.31% in 2024. This rise reflects the high interest of the public in various types of videos, including movies, TV series, music videos, tutorials, and other creative content available on various streaming platforms.

Online Music

The online music category also saw a significant increase in access, from 48.29% in 2023 to 56.07% in 2024. This indicates that more people are enjoying music through streaming platforms, whether for listening to the latest songs or accessing podcasts and other audio content.

Online Games

Meanwhile, access to online game content has decreased from 23.02% in 2023 to 18.4% in 2024. Despite the decline, online games remain a popular entertainment category, given the many game options available and the continuously growing gamer community.

Internet-based TV

Internet-based TV content also experienced a decrease in access from 12.71% in 2023 to 11.02% in 2024. This decline could be due to various factors, including competition with video on demand platforms and streaming services that provide more diverse and flexible content to watch anytime.

Online radio saw a slight decrease in access from 3.24% in 2023 to 3.07% in 2024. Nonetheless, online radio still has loyal fans, especially those who enjoy live broadcasts, news, and music played by DJs.

The category of unknown or never-accessed content was also recorded in APJII data, with an access percentage of 8.13% in 2024. This category reflects users accessing content that is unclassified or not recorded in other main categories.

Based on these trends, there are several challenges and opportunities for internet service providers in Indonesia:
