INTI,- Hannover Messe 2023 - On Tuesday, 18 April 2023, the Main Stage Indonesia Pavilion in Hall 2/2-A02 was filled with participants who attended the seminar on "Strengthening Manufacturing Ecosystem by Accelerating Industry 4.0." The seminar aimed to discuss and promote the implementation of Industry 4.0 in Indonesia, to enhance the country's manufacturing industry competitiveness and to provide insights on best practices from German companies.
Donny Nevanda, Chief Operational Officer (COO) of PT Astra Otopart Divisi Winteq, was the moderator for the seminar. The seminar began with a keynote speech from Deputy for Coordination of Commerce and Industry, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ali Murtopo Simbolon. He discussed the economic transformation in Indonesia and highlighted the importance of Industry 4.0 in the country's economic development. He stated that Industry 4.0 would play a crucial role in boosting Indonesia's manufacturing industry and increasing its competitiveness in the global market.
Following the keynote speech, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid, the Director of Digital Business at PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, presented the sub-theme of "BUMN 4.0: Digital Transformation of State Own Enterprises (SOE) in Indonesia Towards World Class Enterprise." Rasyid discussed the challenges faced by SOEs in implementing Industry 4.0 and highlighted the importance of digital transformation to enhance the competitiveness of SOEs in the global market.
Next, Daniel Suryananta, the Director of PT Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia, presented the sub-theme of "Application of Industry 4.0 in Industrial Companies in Indonesia." Suryananta shared his experience in implementing Industry 4.0 in Akebono Brake and discussed the benefits of using Industry 4.0 in increasing efficiency, productivity and reducing costs.
The final sub-theme was presented by Sascha Maennl, the Senior Director Factory Automation Sales Asia-Pacific, Siemens AG Factory, who shared the "Best Practices of Industry 4.0 Implementation in German Companies." Maennl shared insights on how German companies have successfully implemented Industry 4.0 and discussed the benefits of adopting the latest technologies.
The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion between the participants and the speakers. The discussion covered a variety of topics related to Industry 4.0, including the challenges faced by Indonesian companies in implementing Industry 4.0, the importance of collaboration between companies and the government, and the role of education and training in preparing the workforce for the digital era.
In conclusion, the seminar on "Strengthening Manufacturing Ecosystem by Accelerating Industry 4.0" was a great success in promoting the implementation of Industry 4.0 in Indonesia.
