Jakarta, INTI - During a business forum at the Inti Robot event at INTI 2024, Denny Wijayanto, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Industrial Robot Association (ASRII), presented a controversial view on the future of robotics startups in Indonesia. Speaking at the forum held at JI EXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, on August 14, 2024, Denny questioned whether Indonesia is truly ready to harness the enormous potential of robotics startups to drive an industrial revolution, or if it's all just a pipe dream that's hard to realize.

Denny pointed out that while Indonesia has immense potential, the reality is that startups in the robotics field still face significant challenges. "We must ask ourselves, are we genuinely serious about developing these startups, or are we merely captivated by grand dreams without real action?" he remarked critically.

He also highlighted the lack of support from the government and the private sector in creating an ecosystem that fosters the growth of tech startups in Indonesia. "Without proper regulations and adequate financial support, we will continue to lag behind more advanced countries," he added.

Denny challenged all stakeholders to take concrete steps in building a strong startup ecosystem or risk Indonesia merely becoming a spectator in the global industrial revolution. "It's time we stop dreaming and start acting; otherwise, we will forever be left behind," he concluded firmly.
