President Joko Widodo Envisions Golden Indonesia 2045 through Strategic Programs

Jakarta, INTI - President Joko Widodo has launched the Vision Indonesia 2045, a strategic plan aiming for national development and prosperity by the country's centennial. The ambitious vision was reiterated by Minister of Communication and Informatics, Budi Arie Setiadi, during the Coordination Meeting for the Ministry of Communication and Informatics’ (Kominfo) 2025 Priority Programs in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Minister Budi Arie highlighted the importance of this visionary approach, urging the Kominfo team to focus on realizing this goal. "President Joko Widodo has set an exemplary vision with the Vision Indonesia 2045. We must align our efforts to achieve this," he stated.

To support this, Kominfo has developed the Indonesia Digital Vision (VID) 2045, a comprehensive strategy to build a robust digital ecosystem. This document serves as the ministry’s main guide for the next two decades.

“We must ensure all our programs and activities are directed towards achieving this vision. Every step we take should contribute to this grand goal. The vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 is not just a slogan," emphasized Minister Budi Arie.

He also connected this vision to the 79th National Awakening Day, themed "Rise for a Golden Indonesia." He drew parallels between the historic rise of Budi Utomo in 1908 towards independence and the current efforts towards achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.

“This theme is significant. It’s not just for us but for future generations. It’s our collective responsibility,” he declared.

Minister Budi Arie reminded the Kominfo staff to ensure their programs are realistic, feasible, and accountable. “Consider all resources—financial, human, and other support systems. We must avoid grand plans that are impractical or end up neglected. I am confident we will succeed in our ministry,” he added.

He praised the ministry's leadership for their optimism and dedication, saying, "I feel the optimism and enthusiasm here. We have a great team at Kominfo. I am confident we can draft and deliver our 2025 Priority Programs effectively."

The Coordination Meeting for Kominfo’s 2025 Priority Programs was led by Minister Budi Arie Setiadi and Deputy Minister Nezar Patria, with the attendance of all senior officials from the ministry.
