Jakarta, INTI - Indonesia is once again participating in Hannover Messe 2024, a leading industrial exhibition that is one of the largest and most influential in the world. The event, held from April 22 to 26, 2024 in Hannover, Germany, showcases technological advancements, innovations, and global collaborations.

This year's participation from Indonesia is a follow-up to its role as the Official Partner Country of Hannover Messe 2023 and is part of the ongoing campaign efforts of the Making Indonesia 4.0 policy. This participation also aims to increase exports, investments, industrial cooperation, and branding Indonesia's position as one of the top 10 contributors to global manufacturing products.

"Through the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, Indonesia aims to enhance competitiveness in several key economic sectors, including electric vehicles, biofuels, and renewable resources," stated Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita during the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion at Hannover Messe 2024 on Monday morning (22/4) local time.

In his address, the Minister outlined that Hannover Messe 2024 serves as a significant opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its economic potential and technology to the world. First, Indonesia has the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, which is a key strategy for driving economic transformation through innovation and technology. Furthermore, this roadmap needs to be supported by two major aspects: downstream industries and green economy.

By 2040, there are 21 commodities in the downstream roadmap projected to reach an investment value of USD 545.3 billion. Meanwhile, by 2025, 23% of the energy will come from renewable sources. The government also targets that by 2050, all coal-fired power plants will be closed. These targets also require significant investment and financing, at least USD 1 trillion by 2060.

With various innovative products and industrial solutions on offer, Indonesia demonstrates its commitment to providing added value to the global market. There are nine companies from various industrial sectors in Indonesia participating as co-exhibitors in the Indonesian Pavilion.

Indonesia's presence at Hannover Messe signifies its commitment and seriousness in keeping up with the dynamic industrial landscape, growing economy, and rapidly evolving innovation ecosystem on the world stage. With a range of industries including manufacturing, production technology, energy, automation, and information technology, Indonesia is ready to make a significant contribution and impact at this event.

"To realize an intelligent and sustainable industry, we need strong collaboration among various stakeholders, including industry/private sector players, government, academic institutions, and communities," explained the Minister of Industry.

This strong collaboration aims to invest in R&D, leverage the latest technology, implement best practices, and promote sustainable environmental and technological progress across all industrial sectors.

The goal, according to the Minister, is to develop economic sectors that are not only sustainable and environmentally and socially friendly but also provide benefits to the current and future generations.

Hannover Messe 2024 provides an extraordinary opportunity for Indonesian businesses to forge strategic partnerships, explore new markets, and facilitate technology exchange with international partners. With a strong focus on Industry 4.0, sustainability, and digital transformation, Indonesia aims to position itself as a key player in shaping the future of the global industry.

As one of the largest economic forces in Southeast Asia, Indonesia offers a variety of products, services, and expertise in various sectors. Various cutting-edge innovations are showcased through exhibitions, product demonstrations, and interactive showcases, providing visitors with an exciting experience to see the dynamic industrial landscape and innovation ecosystem in this country. From state-of-the-art technology to sustainable solutions, Indonesia's participation underscores its commitment to driving economic growth, accelerating innovation, and contributing to the progress of the global industry.

Hannover Messe 2024 serves as an important platform for companies to showcase their innovative products and share knowledge and experiences with industry professionals from around the world.
