Jakarta, INTI - In celebration of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the new capital city, Nusantara (IKN), marked a significant moment in history. This celebration was supported by a joint operation across multiple agencies, all coordinated through the Nusantara Command Center, a strategic innovation designed to monitor, control, and ensure the smooth operation of activities in the capital efficiently.

Adhiguna Mahendra, Director of Data and Artificial Intelligence at the IKN Authority, stated that this joint operation represents a historic milestone for Indonesia. "This is a new chapter in our nation’s history. The Nusantara Command Center is a central hub that coordinates various key national agencies under one roof," Adhiguna said during a press conference.

The command center not only oversees the Independence Day ceremony in IKN but is also responsible for making quick and accurate decisions to address any potential issues that arise. "With our ability to monitor every corner of the city through cutting-edge technology, any potential problems can be immediately addressed," he added.

Adhiguna emphasized his role as the chief coordinator in managing the information and communication technology (ICT), a critical factor in the success of the ceremony. The Nusantara Command Center works closely with major national agencies such as the National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), BSSN (National Cyber and Encryption Agency), BNPT (National Counterterrorism Agency), and Telkom, ensuring every aspect of the ceremony runs smoothly.

The State Secretariat and the Presidential Secretariat also played a vital role in ensuring that national protocols were followed. They collaborated closely with the Command Center to ensure that the state event proceeded according to the predetermined schedule.

In addition to physical security maintained by the National Police and TNI, cybersecurity, led by BSSN, was a key focus. In the digital age, cyber threats have become increasingly significant, and BSSN is fully responsible for safeguarding the ICT infrastructure from attacks that could disrupt the event.

The presence of Telkom and Icon PLN to ensure telecommunications connectivity and electricity supply was also crucial to the success of the celebration. These two agencies worked tirelessly to ensure that the communication systems used by the teams on the ground operated seamlessly.

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) also played a role in ensuring that physical infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, was in prime condition to support the event. "With this strong inter-agency cooperation, we ensured that IKN is ready to host this historic state ceremony," concluded Adhiguna.
