INTI,- The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is consistently working to improve industrial service through Technical Implementation Units (UPTs) spread across Indonesia. This strategic effort is believed to enhance the competitiveness of the national industry, making it more competitive on the global stage.

"We are committed to improving the quality and development of technical services through innovative public service approaches and collaborations with industry players," stated Doddy Rahadi, the Head of Industrial Service Policy and Standardization Agency (BSKJI) at Kemenperin, on Friday (19/5).

The head of BSKJI emphasized that through the UPT BSKJI, Kemenperin aims to optimize its service to industries across Indonesia, particularly in the fields of testing, calibration, and certification to support the competitiveness of the domestic industry. Currently, BSKJI is strengthened by 11 Large-Scale Standardization and Industrial Service Centers (BBSPJI) and 13 Standardization and Industrial Service Centers (BSPJI) located throughout Indonesia.

One of the regular activities conducted by the UPT BSKJI is the Industrial Gathering. For instance, BSPJI Banjarbaru organized the 2023 Industrial Gathering and the Launching of Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) BSPJI Banjarbaru under the theme "Integrity of Industrial Service towards Strengthening Global Competitiveness."

This year's Industrial Gathering was attended by 80 participants from the mining, agricultural, food and beverage industries, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), as well as government agencies in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. The event aimed to foster communication and provide information about industrial services offered by BSPJI Banjarbaru to industries in South Kalimantan and surrounding regions.

Doddy stated that BSPJI Banjarbaru must fulfill its duties and functions by providing services to the industrial community and striving to enhance the capacity and integrity of its services and institutions to improve user satisfaction.

During the event, a cooperation agreement was also established between BSKJI at Kemenperin and the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan. "The scope of this cooperation agreement includes the development of human resources in the industry and the enhancement of industrial competitiveness in the province of South Kalimantan," Doddy mentioned. Additionally, the agreement covers the mentoring of industrial technology for the development of industries in South Kalimantan, monitoring, evaluation, and industry nurturing, among other collaborations, with a validity period of three years.

"With this inter-agency cooperation, we hope to achieve a harmonious synergy that can enhance the competence of industrial human resources and ultimately improve the self-reliance and competitiveness of industries in South Kalimantan and surrounding regions," added Doddy.

In the same event, the Head of BSPJI Banjarbaru, Arhamsyah, expressed that the Industrial Gathering reflects the commitment of BSPJI Banjarbaru as a UPT of Kemenperin, with its working area encompassing South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. "We are dedicated to providing synergistic industrial services through various innovations that support ease of service processes for all industries utilizing BSPJI Banjarbaru's services," he stated.

The Industrial Gathering also included the delivery of Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certificates to PT Varian Inti Tirta and CV Bumi Indah. Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for industrial service cooperation between PT Conch South Kalimantan Cement regarding emission measurement testing services, PT Sinar Bintang Albar regarding hazardous waste management, and the Waste Bank regarding inorganic waste management.

As part of the Industrial Gathering agenda, a halal certification registration socialization and mentoring program for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) was also conducted. ***.Hans
