Jakarta, INTI - As global sustainability becomes more urgent, Microsoft introduces transformative solutions to help organizations advance faster. While 85% of executives report that sustainability is strategically important to their companies, only 16% have integrated it into their business strategies. Today, Microsoft launches new data and AI solutions in Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, providing organizations with the capabilities needed to advance their sustainability journeys.

Microsoft Fabric: Unifying Sustainability Data in a Single Platform

In May 2023, Microsoft launched Microsoft Fabric, an end-to-end analytics platform that integrates all enterprise data, including ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data. With Microsoft Fabric, teams can connect data from various sources, uncover insights using AI-powered analytics tools, and embed these insights into daily-used applications. This enables organizations to accelerate their time to insights and make meaningful sustainability progress.

Copilot and Intelligent Insights: Accelerating Decision-Making with AI

Copilot in Microsoft Sustainability Manager now allows organizations to use generative AI and natural language queries to get quicker answers from their data. With this, organizations can analyze environmental data and identify carbon and water usage reduction opportunities, as well as draft sustainability reports more efficiently. Intelligent insights in Microsoft Sustainability Manager offer interactive AI models for deeper emission data analysis, helping organizations see where data needs to be cleaned and identify emission reduction opportunities.

Real-World Technology Application: Södra Case Study

Södra, Sweden's largest forest owner association, uses Microsoft Sustainability Manager with new AI capabilities to enhance their sustainability practices. By utilizing this tool, Södra has automated reporting workflows, making it easier for employees to gather detailed information. “With AI capabilities in Microsoft Sustainability Manager, we can be more productive,” said Cristian Brolin, Chief Digital Officer at Södra.

ESG Value Chain Solution: Driving Emission Reductions with Suppliers

Most organizations have significant emissions footprints from supplier activities. The ESG value chain solution in Microsoft Sustainability Manager allows organizations to streamline data collection from suppliers and perform advanced analytics on this data. This helps organizations identify and pursue emission reduction opportunities within their value chains.

Driving Sustainable Business Toward New Growth Opportunities

According to research by the United Nations and Accenture, 98% of CEOs see sustainability as central to their roles, and many are forming partnerships to achieve sustainability goals. Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, uses Microsoft Sustainability Manager to support its state-of-the-art, energy-efficient facility. Allegiant earned LEED Gold certification, powered by renewable energy, and uses Microsoft solutions to organize data for resource utilization decisions.
