INTI,- Indonesia's participation as the Official Partner Country at Hannover Messe 2023 is seen as a significant opportunity to realize the country's vision of becoming one of the world's top 10 strongest economies by 2030. The Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, stated that Indonesia's participation is expected to expand and open up new partnership opportunities for co-exhibitors who participate.

Currently, waste sorting and food solutions for the food and beverage industry and other industries are showing a rapid global development trend. The participation of sustainable technology players at Hannover Messe 2023 is expected to encourage breakthroughs in the form of digital and climate-neutral transformations. The synergy between digitization and environmental sustainability will play a significant role in driving Indonesia's industrial potential to compete globally.

The Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association (GAPMMI) as one of the co-exhibitors at Hannover Messe 2023 has successfully attracted the interest of Singaporean and German-based technology company MARS-ENVOTEC for collaboration. In a business meeting on Monday (17/4) in Hannover, MARS-ENVOTEC agreed to support the circular economy industry by developing technology and knowledge related to recycling processes.

MARS-ENVOTEC offers innovative and holistic solutions for the wide-scale implementation of advanced waste transformation technology. Various waste materials can be transformed back into clean and renewable energy. CEO of MARS-ENVOTEC, Sven Ische, said the company plans to apply waste management solutions from upstream to downstream to make synthetic fuels and other green energy products from municipal waste, plastics, and organics in Indonesia. "In addition, with this cooperation with GAPMMI, Indonesia will be the first country in Asia to have the opportunity to use MARS-ENVOTEC's recycling equipment and green energy," he said.

Managing Director of MARS-ENVOTEC Asia Pacific, Bambang Indrawan, added that the first zero-emission technology factory in Indonesia has been built in Pekanbaru and Lombok. MARS-ENVOTEC will also join the Ministry of Industry's 4.0 Digital Industry Center (PIDI 4.0) as a renewable energy and waste management expert.

On this occasion, the Director-General of Resilience, Regionalism, and International Industrial Access of the Ministry of Industry, Eko S.A. Cahyanto, stated that the Ministry will continue to support the development of industrial technology and its supporters. Moreover, the recycling industry collaboration can be the first step for Indonesia to fulfill the circular economy and net-zero carbon requirements.

Indonesia's participation as the Official Partner Country at Hannover Messe 2023 not only offers opportunities for co-exhibitors to expand their network and showcase their products but also opens up new opportunities for technology transfer, investment, and strategic partnerships. The event is also an excellent platform to promote Indonesia's potential in various sectors, including manufacturing, renewable energy, waste management, and environmental sustainability.

The government's support in promoting the participation of Indonesian businesses at Hannover Messe 2023 is expected to bring positive impacts for the country's economic growth and development, especially in promoting the transformation of the industrial sector towards sustainable and climate-neutral practices. With its vast potential, Indonesia has the opportunity to become a key player in the global sustainable industry and lead the way towards a greener future. ***. Hans
