INTI,- Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur - On Wednesday night, May 10, 2023, President Joko Widodo and Ibu Iriana Joko Widodo hosted a dinner for ASEAN leaders who attended the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo. The dinner was held at Ayana Komodo Waecicu Beach, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

In his welcome speech, President Jokowi welcomed the ASEAN leaders, their companions, and guests. He also introduced Labuan Bajo as one of Indonesia's most beautiful tourist destinations.

"Once again, welcome to Labuan Bajo, one of the most beautiful places in Indonesia. Not far from here is Komodo Island, the origin and habitat of the Komodo dragon," said the President.

"May the beauty of nature and the kindness of the local community here encourage us to see ASEAN as a peaceful and stable region and an epicenter of growth. Please enjoy dinner, enjoy Labuan Bajo, and enjoy the performance," the President concluded.

During the dinner, the leaders were served fruit salad as an appetizer. The main course was called "Taste of The Archipelago Sea," which included dishes such as lobster, Bali's red snapper, and fragrant rice served with a variety of sambal. For dessert, the leaders were served young coconut.

While enjoying the delicious food, the guests were treated to various cultural performances. Several singers took turns entertaining the ASEAN leaders, starting with Maysha Jhuan and guitarist Nathania Jhualim, who performed the song "Inikah Cinta."

Other performers included Andmesh Kamaleng, Dian Sorowea, the band RAN, Gamaliel-Audrey-Cantika (GAC), RDP Generation, and dangdut singer Happy Asmara. The evening ended with all the performers singing "Gemu Fa Mi Re" while a fireworks show lit up the sky behind them.
