INTI,- Ministry of Industry focuses on accelerating digital transformation, particularly in the manufacturing sector. According to a study by Google Temasek, Bain & Company, the digital economy in Indonesia is predicted to reach USD77 billion in 2022, growing at a rate of 22% YoY. The digital economy is expected to almost double, reaching USD130 billion in 2025.
To prepare Indonesia for the digital 4.0 era, the government has launched the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, which focuses on seven manufacturing sectors: food and beverage, textile and clothing, automotive, chemical, electronics, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. These sectors contribute 70% to the industrial GDP, 65% to industrial exports, and 60% of industrial employment in Indonesia.
"To support national priority programs and accelerate the transformation of industry 4.0, the Ministry of Industry has established the Indonesian Digital Industry Center (PIDI 4.0)," said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a statement on Saturday (13/5).
PIDI 4.0 has various strategic programs, including human resource training related to the development of industry 4.0 skills. This program has been attended by thousands of participants. In addition, PIDI 4.0 also showcases industry 4.0, the application of disruptive technologies such as AI and IoT, and the development of the 4.0 ecosystem in Indonesia.
Currently, PIDI 4.0 is present at the Digital Economy and Finance Festival Indonesia (FEKDI) 2023. This is an opportunity to introduce PIDI 4.0 programs to stakeholders and the public, as well as to support the adaptation of the digital economy in Indonesia," said Head of the Industrial Human Resource Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Ministry of Industry, Masrokhan.
The FEKDI event, which took place on May 7-10, 2023, in Jakarta, carries the theme "Synergy and Innovation of Digital Economy: Fostering Growth". The aim of this event is to encourage innovation in the digital economy and finance, strengthen national economic resilience and recovery, communicate digitalization initiatives and policies, and enhance synergy between the government, stakeholders, and the public.
"PIDI 4.0 itself has a booth at the FEKDI event, providing information about PIDI 4.0 activities. At the booth, PIDI 4.0 also collaborates with two PIDI 4.0 partners, TSM and NEC," said Masrokhan.
TSM or PT. Tata Sarana Makmur provides electronic payment system solutions with various types of EDC machines. The machines are produced in Indonesia to support the government's program to promote national products.
One of the advantages of TSM's electronic payment system is its Terminal Management System for online device monitoring. The system also makes it easier to report transaction data, provide data analysis, and is connected to the Point of Sales (POS) system.
Meanwhile, NEC offers Bank ID Solution as a digital transformation solution for the company. This system can be used by banks to digitize products or services.
The system offered is fully digital, allowing client transactions to be securely conducted from home. NEC has world-class authentication technology through facial recognition, fingerprint, and eye recognition.
In addition to TSM and NEC, PIDI 4.0 has 35 partners consisting of industries, institutions, and universities. Together with these partners, PIDI 4.0 has organized various programs, including training 1436 industrial human resources through various industry 4.0 training programs in 2022. ***. Hans
