Jakarta, INTI - Amidst increasingly complex global economic challenges, Indonesia continues to demonstrate resilience with stable Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth. This was conveyed by Yan Sibarang Tandiele, Director of Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Industry at the Ministry of Industry, during a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held in Jakarta. The event, themed Development of Smart Machine & Robotics Ecosystem to Accelerate Industry Revolution 4.0, focused on the importance of developing a technology-oriented industrial ecosystem.

In his presentation, Yan revealed that Indonesia's efforts to develop the Industry 4.0 ecosystem not only impact the manufacturing sector but also significantly contribute to national economic growth. "Indonesia's current GDP growth indicates that we have successfully managed various global challenges. Our economy is growing at a stable pace, thanks to the appropriate adoption of technology in the industrial sector," Yan said.

Yan also underscored the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and academic institutions in supporting the implementation of Industry 4.0. He noted that synergy among various parties is essential to ensure that Indonesia can continue to compete globally. One tangible example of this collaboration is the Inti Root exhibition, which is part of the Indonesia Technology and Innovation (INTI 2024) event.

INTI 2024, as Indonesia's largest B2B exhibition, provides a platform for industry players to interact with leading technology solution providers. With more than 700 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, the exhibition is expected to accelerate the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in Indonesia.

“INTI 2024 reflects our commitment to developing an industrial ecosystem capable of competing in the digital era. Through this exhibition, we hope to encourage more companies in Indonesia to adopt advanced technologies and seize the opportunities available in the current industrial revolution,” Yan explained.

The event is also being held in collaboration with the Indonesian Industrial Robotics Association (ASRII), which plays a critical role in advancing the smart manufacturing and robotics sector in Indonesia. This partnership underscores the importance of building a robust ecosystem where innovation can thrive, contributing to the country’s overall industrial development.

In his closing remarks, Yan emphasized that Indonesia has great potential to become a leader in the global industrial revolution, provided it continues to strengthen its industrial ecosystem through sustained innovation and collaboration.
