Jakarta, INTI - The DIALS 2024 Declaration delivered by Zulfadly Syam, Secretary General of the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), marks a new chapter in Indonesia's journey towards inclusive digital transformation. This declaration is the result of discussions involving various stakeholders, reflecting a shared commitment to accelerating the realization of Indonesia's Digital Vision 2045.

Developing Inclusive Digital Infrastructure

One of the key points in this declaration is the focus on developing backbone and last-mile infrastructure. This infrastructure is seen as the key to ensuring that all regions of Indonesia, including remote areas, have equal access to digital technology. The increasingly complex cyber threats require strong cross-sector coordination to build national cybersecurity resilience. Zulfadly Syam highlighted the need for innovation in the cloud and hosting industries to address these threats, as well as the need for consistent and effective cybersecurity policies across all sectors.

The development of local cybersecurity solutions is a main focus for APJII in strengthening Indonesia's digital sovereignty. This is also a strategic step to reduce reliance on imported products and strengthen Indonesia's position in the global market.

Encouraging the Use of Local Products in Telecommunications Infrastructure

To support the growth of the domestic industry, the Domestic Product Utilization Enhancement Policy (P3DN) is being encouraged by APJII for implementation by its members. Zulfadly Syam emphasized that collaboration between industry, government, and academia is essential to ensure that local products not only meet technical standards but are also prioritized in the procurement of large projects.
