INTI,- Indonesia has secured a number of cooperation agreements at the Hannover Messe 2023, the world's largest industrial technology exhibition, which is expected to have a positive impact on investment in the country. The Indonesian government and business representatives will sign 27 cooperation agreements, including one government-to-government agreement between Indonesia and Germany. Four government-to-business agreements and 22 business-to-business agreements will also be signed during the event, with a total commitment of more than USD1.9 billion.

According to Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, the cooperation agreements are the result of Indonesia's participation as Partner Country at Hannover Messe 2023, aiming to promote industrial cooperation and foreign investment. He added that 75% of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signatories were co-exhibitors at the event, demonstrating a high level of enthusiasm among co-exhibitors to collaborate with partners.

The government-to-government agreement signed is a Joint Statement Declaration of Intent between the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, which outlines joint economic cooperation.

The government-to-business agreements will focus on increasing human resources in the development and transformation of Industry 4.0, waste management and circular economy, as well as collaboration on the development of Indonesia's new capital city. The business-to-business cooperation agreements cover sustainable energy technology management, solar energy investment, semiconductors, medical equipment, and industrial security. Other areas of cooperation include waste-to-energy, the establishment of chemical and molding factories, IoT development, and digital solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Overall, the cooperation agreements signed at Hannover Messe 2023 are expected to boost Indonesia's economic growth and strengthen its position in the global market.***Hans
