INTI- Marves, Kaltim - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut B. Pandjaitan, received over a hundred investors from Singapore at the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan on Wednesday (May 31, 2023). This visit aimed to showcase the development of IKN and highlight investment opportunities for Singaporean investors.

"Pak Tommy (the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryopratomo, commonly known as Tommy) had previously arranged this visit, and as a result, more than a hundred investors from Singapore came to witness the progress of IKN and explore potential investment collaborations for the future," said Minister Luhut at the location.

Accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, the Head of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (IKN), Bambang Susantono, and the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryopratomo, Minister Luhut expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by Singaporean investors towards the development and progress of the Nusantara Capital City.

"Previously, Pak Basuki has showcased the progress of the Planning Region 1 (Wilayah Perencanaan 1), which will become the Core Area of the Government Center, as well as WP2, WP3, and so on, with various investment potentials, including green energy," he stated.

"For green energy, my deputy, Rachmat Kaimuddin (Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment), has explained that we have a program to export green energy to Singapore. It has to be an end-to-end process. This means we can build solar panel factories and supply the volto voltage here, as Indonesia has the raw materials. Therefore, issues regarding local content, JETP, and everything else will be addressed. It involves all aspects, not just looking at parts, but the entire system that will be established. Once again, the government is building an ecosystem with the aim of becoming an industrial nation with green energy," he elaborated.

Minister Luhut highlighted that the government is expediting the resolution of pending land issues. "We are accelerating the process by involving the regional police, military commanders, the National Land Agency, and all relevant parties working intensively based on data to expedite land acquisition," he stated.

Regarding cooperation with Singapore, Minister Luhut is planning to visit Singapore alongside President Jokowi. "On June 5, I will visit Singapore as I have been invited to provide explanations at two forums, and the President is also expected to deliver a speech on June 7," concluded Minister Luhut. ***.Hans
