CNG,- Indonesia is gearing up to make the most of the Hannover Messe (HM) 2023, scheduled to take place from 17-21 April 2023 at the Hannover Fairgrounds, Germany. The prestigious event represents a significant opportunity for Indonesia, as the first ASEAN country to be chosen for the third time as the Official Partner Country of the world's largest industrial technology exhibition. "This demonstrates that Indonesia's position has been recognized as one of the new economic powers in the world and a global manufacturing player," said Eko S.A. Cahyanto, Director General of International Industrial Access, Industrial Zoning and Resilience at the Ministry of Industry.
"To participate in the HM 2023, several cooperation agreements will be signed. There are plans for 13 potential collaborations, including digitalization, development and construction of sensor-based food sorting industries using artificial intelligence, waste processing technology, solar panel energy, and investment in the health sector," said Eko.
The HM 2023 will play a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Indonesia, Germany, and other partner countries. It will not be limited to trade, investment, and industry but will also focus on sustainable development dimensions.
"Indonesia's participation in the HM 2023 should be utilized to promote the interconnectivity of Indonesia's industry with the global supply chain network," said Eko. More than 157 co-exhibitors, including industrial start-ups, associations, industrial areas, special economic zones, educational institutions, and the Capital City of Indonesia (IKN), will be showcasing their products and services in the Indonesian Pavilion, along with a series of business summits and conferences.
The Indonesian Pavilion will present six main conference themes to be held on 18-20 April 2023. These themes include 'Strengthening Manufacturing Ecosystem by Accelerating Industry 4.0,' 'Investing in the New National Capital City,' 'Investing in the Manufacturing Sector,' 'Electric Vehicle Ecosystem,' 'Sustainability and Carbon Neutrality,' and 'Investing in Human Capital for Industrial Competitiveness.' The conference series will feature speakers from the industry and government officials from Indonesia.
Eko is optimistic that the HM 2023 event will attract more visitors and potential buyers than the digital-only HM 2021, which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. HM 2021 had 90,000 registered participants and garnered over 3.5 million impressions on its website, as well as a social media reach of 4.5 million.
"As an official partner country at HM 2021, Indonesia received detailed information on 1,000 visitors, mostly from Germany (37%), Indonesia (27%), South Korea (4%), Japan (3%), and the rest from China, the USA, Turkey, and India," he said.
Indonesia's participation in HM 2023 will be promoted under the tagline "Infinite Journey," aimed at showcasing Indonesia's technological prowess, promoting sustainable development, and supporting a circular economy. "This participation will also offer significant opportunities to build national branding and demonstrate the country's industrial development in implementing Industry 4.0 technology," emphasized Eko.***Hans
