Jakarta, INTI - Indonesia's participation in Hannover Messe 2024 aims to foster industrial collaboration and attract foreign direct investment. At this year's prestigious and influential industrial exhibition, this participation target has been successfully met with the establishment of thirteen new industrial partnerships worth over Rp5 Trillion.
"The formation of these 13 new industrial partnership agreements is a significant step towards sustainable industrial development," stated the Acting Director General of Resilience, Regionalization, and International Industrial Access at the Ministry of Industry, Eko S.A Cahyanto, in his statement in Hannover, Germany, on Thursday (25/4) local time.
Highlighting the relevance of these agreements to the vision of future industrial development, the Acting Director General emphasized that agreements from Hannover Messe and joint activities aligned with the roadmap of Making Indonesia 4.0 could support the acceleration of technology 4.0 transformation and the preparation of industrial Human Resources (HR).
Among the thirteen partnership agreements signed by the third day of Hannover Messe 2024 are collaborations between TechnoGIS and FRAUNHOFER IPK for research and development cooperation on forest fire monitoring. Additionally, agreements were made with AI Drone, TechnoGIS, and Preneu Co., Ltd for the distribution and development of drone mapping in Indonesia and Asia. Furthermore, a collaboration agreement between Wuhan Geosun Navigation Technology and Geomars regarding the distribution of LiDAR for 3D mapping.
Two other agreements involve partnerships between Solusi247 and MetalogikaGMbh for embedded system product development and outsourcing, as well as a strategic partnership agreement between Techbros and Seeed Technology Co., Ltd. Moreover, the Nusantara Capital Authority signed two letters of intent (LoI) with ATMI IGI and Solinatra BV as initial steps towards further cooperation.
Previously, five agreements were signed during the opening of the Indonesian Pavilion on Monday (22/4), witnessed directly by Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. These include collaborations in the waste recycling sector for industrial areas in the Riau Islands, a partnership between Ecadin and TUV Nord, PT Stechoq Robotika with Beckhoff for the development of learning systems and medical-grade ventilators, PT Stechoq Robotika Indonesia with Noyatech for product development, production monitoring, and finally, ATMI IGI Center with Solinatra BV.
These partnership agreements, totaling over Rp5 Trillion, demonstrate Indonesia's commitment to collaborate with other partner countries in fostering mutual trust and understanding while strengthening collaboration for the future.
Throughout 2023, Indonesia's investment realization reached Rp1,418.9 Trillion, surpassing the previous target of Rp1,400 Trillion (BKPM data). This figure marks the highest record in the last 30 years, with the manufacturing sector being the largest contributor to foreign direct investment (FDI).
Indonesia's return to participate in Hannover Messe in 2024 is one of the efforts to showcase the significant potential and opportunities in both sustainable and advanced industries. Various activities presented by the Indonesian Pavilion include exhibitions from nine Co-exhibitors showcasing their respective products and innovations, business forums, and business matching sessions, all aimed at realizing cooperation plans among businesses, industrial players, investors, and associations.
