Indonesia s Automotive Industry Showcases Latest AI Technology in Hannover Messe 2023
INTI,- Hannover Messe 2023 has become an important platform for showcasing the progress of Indonesia's digital transformation, particularly in the automotive industry sector. As the world's largest industrial technology exhibition, it also demonstrates Indonesia's position as one of the new economic powers and global manufacturing players.
According to Taufiek Bawazier, the Director-General of the Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronics Industry at the Ministry of Industry, "The implementation of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry has proven to increase productivity and efficiency, which ultimately accelerates the competitiveness of the industry and contributes to the growth of the national economy." Bawazier made this statement while visiting the automotive component industry booth at Hannover Messe 2023 in Germany on Monday (17/4) local time.
One of the Indonesian national automotive component companies that participated as a co-exhibitor at Hannover Messe 2023 was PT. Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia. The company brought the latest technology that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be applied in the quality inspection process of producing four-wheeled motor vehicle brakes.
Yusak Kristian Solaeman, the Director of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, stated that "AI Machine is used for the final inspection of brake pads, where the machine can check the quality of the product faster and more efficiently, minimizing human error and increasing accuracy." In addition, this AI machine can predict cracks that may occur in the product, so the inspection team can take preventive action before the product is marketed.
PT Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia also showcased the Manufacturing Dashboard, which is used to help the manufacturing team monitor the production process in real-time and provide information related to production performance, including the number of products produced, production time, and production costs.
