Jakarta, INTI - Indonesia, the official partner country of Hannover Messe 2023, has officially handed over its role to Norway, which will serve as the official partner country at Hannover Messe 2024. The handover ceremony took place on Wednesday (6/3), marked by the relay of the Partner Country baton from Ignatius Warsito, Advisor to the Minister for Strengthening Domestic Industry Capabilities, representing Indonesia, to Kristian Netland, Deputy Ambassador of Norway to Indonesia. The ceremony was attended by Marco Siebert, Director of Partner Country and International Relations at Deutsche Messe AG, and Ina Lepel, the German Ambassador to Indonesia.

As the country with the longest partnership with Hannover Messe, Indonesia will once again be present at the world's largest industrial trade fair, Hannover Messe 2024, scheduled for April 22-26, 2024, in Hannover, Germany. "Indonesia's participation in Hannover Messe 2024 is a follow-up to its role as the Official Partner Country of Hannover Messe 2023 and is part of the ongoing campaign efforts under the Making Indonesia 4.0 policy," explained Warsito during the Handover Ceremony & Press Conference for Hannover Messe 2024 in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/3).

He added that this participation is also aimed at increasing exports, investments, industrial cooperation, and branding Indonesia's position as one of the world's economic powers and a global manufacturing player. The overarching theme for Hannover Messe 2024 is "Energizing Sustainable Industry," with a focus on five categories: Future Hub, Engineered Parts & Solutions, Automation, Motion & Drives, Digital Ecosystems, and Energy Solutions.

In 2024, the Indonesian Pavilion will once again adopt the tagline "Infinite Journey" with the same Pinisi Ship logo as the previous year. The reuse of this tagline is to strengthen Indonesia's identity and continually refresh Indonesia's image throughout its role as the official partner country at Hannover Messe 2023, as well as to continue the spirit of optimism and vast future potential, not limited to the industrial sector.

In preparation for participation this year, since 2023 until now, the Ministry of Industry has been actively initiating and preparing for Hannover Messe 2024, including activities such as socialization, sourcing or curating potential co-exhibitors, and designing the concept and layout of the Indonesian Pavilion to replicate the same success as in previous participations.

"The Indonesian Pavilion's location at Hannover Messe 2024 will be in Hall 4 (Booth G52) with an area of 100 m2. In addition to exhibition activities, seminars and business meeting forums will also be held at the pavilion for Indonesian companies and industry players to introduce their products and services to visitors and potential business partners," explained Warsito.

Hannover Messe is the most important international platform and prestigious event for industrial transformation, held in Hannover, Germany. In 2023, Hannover Messe was attended by no fewer than 130,000 visitors, 4,000 exhibitors, approximately 1,870 speakers, 14,000 products and solutions, and more than 300 startups.

In addition to business circles, Hannover Messe 2023 also successfully attracted several political delegations from 50 countries to attend and contribute. Indonesia showcased various developments and potential industrial sectors in the country through the implementation of Industry 4.0 at the last Hannover Messe in 2023. Indonesia successfully recorded one G2G cooperation agreement, four G2B cooperation agreements, and 25 B2B cooperation agreements, projected to create approximately 80,000 jobs.*Hans
