INTI,- After three years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) has announced the return of the Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) for its fifth edition in 2023. The event will feature at least seven conferences covering various topics related to digital transformation and the creative economy.

The confirmed conferences include “Digital Transformation in the Telecommunications Industry”, "Digital transformation in enhancing the competitiveness of the creative industry: Opportunities and challenges," "Improving digital literacy to increase public participation in the creative economy," "The role of digital transformation in driving business growth in the creative economy," "Opportunities and challenges of digital literacy in increasing market access for the creative industry," and "Digital innovation to accelerate digital transformation and literacy in the creative economy." These six conferences are supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, while the seventh theme, "Exploring Indonesia's Underwater Digital Sovereignty Securing Potential, Overcoming Challenges, and Seizing Opportunities," is also supported by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Additionally, the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Economy will provide support to all conference activities as a manifestation of their commitment to digital transformation.

The IIXS event, scheduled for August 10-12, 2023, will take place at the JI-Expo Kemayoran in Jakarta. The conference aims to promote the development of Indonesia's digital economy and encourage the country's creative industry to adapt to the rapid changes brought about by digitalization. APJII hopes that the event will serve as a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and experiences, discuss new trends and challenges, and collaborate on initiatives that could help shape the future of the digital economy in Indonesia.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift towards digitalization, forcing businesses and organizations to adapt to the new normal of remote work, e-commerce, and online services. The creative industry is no exception, and the IIXS event seeks to explore how digital transformation can enhance the competitiveness of this sector while also addressing the challenges of digital literacy, market access, and cybersecurity.

According to the organizing committee Ambar, this event will bring together experts, policy makers, business leaders and other stakeholders to share knowledge and insights on the latest trends and best practices in digital transformation. He also stressed the importance of promoting digital literacy and inclusion, especially in remote and underdeveloped areas in Indonesia.

"The digital economy is a key driver of Indonesia's economic growth and development, and the IIXS event will play a crucial role in shaping its future direction," said Ambar. "We believe that by working together and leveraging the power of digital technology, we can unlock new opportunities, create new jobs, and improve the lives of millions of Indonesians."

The Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) has become a flagship event for Indonesia's digital industry, attracting thousands of visitors and participants from various sectors, including telecommunications, finance, e-commerce, and government. The event has also served as a platform for promoting Indonesia's digital potential and showcasing its innovative solutions and technologies to the international community.

In conclusion, the return of the Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) in 2023 marks a significant milestone for Indonesia's digital industry and the country's creative economy. The event's focus on digital transformation, innovation, and inclusion reflects the growing importance of these issues in shaping Indonesia's future development. As the world continues to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, events like the IIXS offer a ray of hope and a vision for a brighter, more connected future.***. Hans.
