Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024 Set to Electrify Jakarta's Gaming Scene

Jakarta, INTI – After its massive success in Tangerang in August 2024, the highly anticipated Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024 is making a grand return to Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta, from September 13 to 16, 2024. This event, renowned as the biggest gaming festival in Indonesia, promises a thrilling experience packed with gaming tournaments, pop culture activities, educational seminars, and community gatherings.

Soegiharto Santoso, Chairman of the National ICT Association (APTIKNAS), highlighted IGX’s growth, stating, "IGX has become the largest gaming event in Indonesia. With major rebranding efforts, IGX 2024 is no longer just a local event; it has expanded to various major cities across the country."

Fanky Christian, Secretary General of APTIKNAS, emphasized the importance of nurturing Indonesia's gaming ecosystem. “The gaming ecosystem in Indonesia needs to be supported and developed, including areas such as game developers and studios, publishers, e-sports, gamer communities, platforms and distribution, training and education, technology providers, payment systems, and of course, events, conferences, and media influencers,” Fanky remarked.

APTIKNAS plays a pivotal role in creating talent pipelines for the gaming industry, including certification programs for digital talent, contributing to the broader Digital Talent Initiative under APTIKNAS SMART NATION.

Taiwan, a leader in technology and gaming hardware, has also thrown its support behind IGX 2024. Amy Hsiao, Director of TAITRA Jakarta, expressed Taiwan’s commitment to the growth of e-sports in Indonesia. “Taiwan will continue to support the growth of Indonesia's e-sports industry with high-quality technology solutions provided by Taiwan Excellence brands such as ASUS, Gigabyte, Acer, MSI, and BenQ,” said Amy. She emphasized the importance of this collaboration in advancing Indonesia's gaming and e-sports industry on the global stage.
