Indonesia Game Experience 2024: Major Transformation Towards a National Gaming Festival

Jakarta, INTI – APTIKNAS, in collaboration with Taiwan Excellence, is once again bringing the highly anticipated annual gaming event, the Indonesia Game Experience (IGX) 2024. This event is not just a regular gaming exhibition but a significant effort to elevate Indonesia’s gaming industry by establishing it as the largest national event in its field.

Transformation from Jakarta Game Expo to Indonesia Game Experience

Previously known as the Jakarta Game Expo (JGX), this event has transformed into the Indonesia Game Experience (IGX), marking a significant shift in scale and scope. Chairman of the National Executive Board of APTIKNAS, Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH, stated that this transformation is a strategic move to facilitate the growth and enthusiasm of the gaming community across Indonesia.

"After two consecutive years of positive reception from the gaming community in Jakarta, we at APTIKNAS fully support the elevation of this event to a national level. We hope this event can bring new energy and strengthen the gaming ecosystem in Indonesia," said Soegiharto during the press conference at Tangcity Mall, Tangerang.

Expansion to Four Major Cities

IGX 2024 will be held in four major cities, starting at Tangcity Mall, Tangerang, from August 1-4, 2024, then moving to Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta, from September 13-16, 2024, WTC Surabaya from October 24-27, 2024, and Bandung from November 21-24, 2024. This expansion aims to spread the gaming experience and enthusiasm to more people in various regions.

Support from Various Parties

The event has garnered full support from various parties, including TAITRA Jakarta, represented by Amy Hsiao. "Taiwan has long been a leader in information technology, particularly in gaming hardware. We are impressed with the passion of Indonesian gamers and the rapid growth of the e-sports industry in Indonesia," said Amy.

Another speaker, Dandit Hardianto from PT Finnet Indonesia, also stated that the IGX 2024 event aligns with PT Finnet's vision to foster innovation that combines the gaming and fintech industries.

Angelika Putri, S.I.Kom, Founder and Secretary General of the Indonesian Payment Gateway Association (APGI), added that IGX 2024 is an excellent platform to connect various stakeholders in the gaming and payment gateway industries.

Hendri Andrigo Sutanto from Digitalife explained that IGX 2024 will feature various exciting activities, including Esport Tournaments for popular games like Ayodance, Point Blank, and Valorant, as well as mobile games like Free Fire, MLBB, and PUBGM.
