In a press conference at Tangcity Mall, Chairman of the National Executive Board of APTIKNAS, Ir. Soegiharto Santoso, SH, revealed that IGX 2024 is part of a larger vision to establish Indonesia as a hub for technological innovation in Southeast Asia. With the transformation from Jakarta Game Expo to Indonesia Game Experience, this event is expected to reach more gamers and technology enthusiasts across Indonesia.

According to data from the Indonesian Game Association, gaming industry revenue reached over USD 1 billion in 2023, a 10% increase from the previous year. This growth is driven by the increasing number of smartphone users and internet access in Indonesia.

The event also features various e-sports competitions and educational workshops featuring speakers from different fields, including technology, game design, and application development. Participants can learn directly from industry experts and gain insights into career opportunities in the gaming world.
