INTI,- Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, held a meeting with German Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck in Berlin. The meeting was aimed at strengthening economic relations between Indonesia and Germany and resulted in the signing of a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDoI) between the two countries.

The JDoI covers areas such as trade, investment, and technology transfer, with a focus on promoting sustainable development and climate action. It also aims to foster closer cooperation between Indonesian and German businesses and to create new opportunities for trade and investment between the two countries.

In his opening remarks, Minister Hartarto highlighted the importance of the meeting in strengthening the economic ties between Indonesia and Germany. He emphasized that Indonesia is committed to promoting sustainable development and climate action, and that the JDoI signed with Germany reflects this commitment.

Minister Altmaier also emphasized the importance of the meeting, stating that Germany is keen to strengthen its economic ties with Indonesia. He noted that Indonesia is an important partner for Germany in Southeast Asia and that the signing of the JDoI will provide a framework for closer cooperation between the two countries.

The JDoI covers a range of areas, including trade and investment, technology transfer, research and development, and climate action. It includes commitments to promote sustainable economic growth and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as to support the development of renewable energy and clean technologies.

One of the key areas of focus under the JDoI is the promotion of bilateral trade and investment. The two countries have agreed to work together to promote trade in goods and services, as well as to encourage investment in each other's economies.

To facilitate this, the JDoI includes provisions for the establishment of a joint working group on trade and investment, which will be tasked with identifying opportunities for cooperation and promoting trade and investment between the two countries. The working group will also explore ways to reduce barriers to trade and investment and to improve the business environment for companies operating in Indonesia and Germany.

The JDoI also includes commitments to promote technology transfer and research and development. The two countries have agreed to work together to promote the exchange of technology and to support research and development activities in areas such as renewable energy, green transport, and sustainable agriculture.

In addition, the JDoI includes commitments to support climate action and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The two countries have agreed to work together to promote the use of clean technologies and to support the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.

Overall, the signing of the JDoI between Indonesia and Germany marks an important step forward in the economic relations between the two countries. It provides a framework for closer cooperation and collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, technology transfer, and climate action, and reflects the shared commitment of both countries to promoting sustainable economic growth and development.***.Hans
