Jakarta, INTI – Gamecomm Indonesia, a leading company focused on creating programs for the gaming and esports industry, has announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing the absorption of vocational graduates as skilled workers in the national gaming industry. This move is part of their efforts to establish a robust framework for the sustainable growth of Indonesia's gaming ecosystem.
The program, introduced by Gamecomm Indonesia, includes a series of activities ranging from roadshows in various schools across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) to a Link & Match program with the gaming industry. CEO of Gamecomm Indonesia, Sere Kalina, revealed that the gaming industry in Indonesia still faces challenges in finding human resources that meet industry standards and needs.
"Currently, gaming industry players in Indonesia struggle to find human resources that match industry standards and needs. Therefore, we are implementing a program aimed at developing and enhancing the quality of students and absorbing skilled labor from vocational schools into the national gaming industry," stated Sere Kalina.
She further mentioned that Gamecomm Indonesia fully supports the "Merdeka Belajar" program, showcasing that the learning methods implemented in vocational schools (SMK) align with the requirements for students to enter the professional world.
"We are committed to improving the quality of human resources in vocational schools so that they can be directly absorbed by industries, particularly gaming, both in Indonesia and abroad," she added.
Gamecomm Indonesia is also preparing for a major Link & Match event scheduled for the end of 2024. This event will serve as a forum to connect curated vocational graduates with the national gaming industry. Additionally, Gamecomm Indonesia will host the INTI Gamecomm & Animation Expo, an international-scale event, from August 12-14, 2024, at JIEXPO, Kemayoran Jakarta.
"With this program, we hope schools will support and participate in every program we implement," she concluded.
This vocational graduate absorption enhancement program has received full support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and industry partners (DUDI), who have been the bridge between schools and Gamecomm Indonesia, enabling the realization of this program.
