Enhancing AI Readiness in Indonesia: Panel Discussion at AIIS 2024

Jakarta, INTI - To boost AI readiness and implementation in Indonesia, the 4th Artificial Intelligence Innovation Summit (AIIS) 2024 will host a highly anticipated panel discussion titled "UNESCO: AI Readiness in Indonesia." This session is scheduled to take place on August 13, 2024, from 10:30 to 11:30 WIB at the Jakarta International Expo, featuring some of the leading thinkers in technology and education.

The panelists include Nezar Patria, M.Sc., MBA, Vice Minister of Communication and Informatics; Maki Hayashikawa, Director and Representative of UNESCO; Prof. Abdul Haris, Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture; and Dr. Sri Safitri, Head of Education Ecosystem at Telkom Indonesia Tbk. The session will be moderated by Prof. Hammam Riza, a prominent figure in artificial intelligence in Indonesia.

The discussion will focus on strategies to enhance infrastructure, policies, and human resources to support widespread AI implementation in Indonesia. "AI readiness in Indonesia is not just a target but an urgent necessity that we must address seriously," Nezar Patria said in a pre-event interview.

"Collaboration between institutions and strengthening the ecosystem will be key to achieving this vision," added Maki Hayashikawa.
