Jakarta, INTI – A pivotal panel session titled "Digitization as the Foundation for the Development of Domestic Industry and Economy: Data Centers and BTS" is set to highlight the sixth Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) on August 14, 2024, at Jakarta International Expo. The session will feature prominent figures in telecommunications and information technology infrastructure.
Fadilah Mathar, Chairwoman of Telecommunications and Information System and Electronic Transaction Management at BAKTI, will join Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, Chairman of the Association of Telecommunication Tower Infrastructure Developers, Hendra Suryakusuma, Chairman of the Indonesia Data Center Providers, and Mohammad Rosidi, Director of ICT Strategy & Business at Huawei Indonesia, to discuss the importance of digitization in supporting the domestic economy.
Moderated by Martin Pasaribu, Chairman of the Public Strategic Relations Sub-Unit, DNC APJII, the discussion is expected to provide deep insights into how digitization can drive economic growth through improved data center infrastructure and efficient BTS development.
According to Fadilah Mathar, the development of data centers is crucial for supporting the rapidly expanding digital ecosystem. "We are in an era where data volume is continuously increasing. Therefore, reliable data center infrastructure is essential," Fadilah stated.
Theodorus highlighted the importance of BTS infrastructure in supporting broader network needs, including the implementation of 5G networks. "Expanding BTS infrastructure not only supports current needs but also prepares Indonesia for future technologies," he explained.
From an industry perspective, Hendra Suryakusuma emphasized innovation in data center management. "The integration of cloud technology and the development of local data centers must be enhanced to optimize data management and security," said Hendra.
Mohammad Rosidi shared insights on how Huawei supports digital initiatives in Indonesia, "We are committed to bringing technological innovations that support infrastructure as well as help various industrial sectors in their digital transformation," Mohammad clarified.
