Jakarta, INTI - Bharti Airtel has embarked on a strategic partnership with Google Cloud, aiming to deliver cloud solutions and generative AI (GenAI) services to over a million Indian enterprises, thereby catalyzing digitalization across the nation.

Under the agreement, Google Cloud and Airtel will extend their suite of cloud services to Airtel's expansive customer base, comprising more than 2,000 major enterprises and one million burgeoning businesses, as announced by the operator.

Harnessing the vast data generated by the operator, the collaboration seeks to train AI models tailored for business applications. These AI services encompass geospatial analytics solutions for identifying market trends, tracking assets, assessing risks, and conducting predictive analysis. Additionally, voice analytics solutions for multilingual conversational applications and marketing technology solutions will be provided.

Moreover, Airtel intends to leverage Google Cloud's AI services to revolutionize customer interactions across its mobile, broadband, and digital TV services, while also enhancing internal operations. The operator envisions extending these cutting-edge services to its B2B clientele both domestically and internationally.

In Pune, a specialized facility has been established to train over 300 specialists who will play a pivotal role in deploying Google Cloud services and crafting advanced solutions. Additionally, Airtel has unveiled an IoT solution tailored for the utility sector, integrating tools from Google Cloud, albeit specific details about this offering remain undisclosed.

The collaborative efforts between Airtel and Google Cloud are poised to tap into India's burgeoning public cloud market, anticipated by IDC to soar to USD $17.8 billion by 2027.

"As India propels its digital transformation journey, state-of-the-art cloud and AI solutions will serve as the cornerstone of this evolution," remarked Gopal Vittal, MD, and CEO at Airtel.

Vittal expressed confidence that the partnership would "expedite the deployment of GenAI in the country and unlock its potential in problem-solving."
