INTI,- The Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) attended the exclusive launching event of Digital Data Centers (BDDC) entitled "Where Digital Enablers Come Together" on May 9, 2023, at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta.
BDDC, formed by Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia Pte. Ltd (BDIA), introduced an in-town data center platform that serves as the center of interconnectivity for an integrated digital ecosystem. The establishment of BDDC is a strategic move by BDIA to support the acceleration and fulfillment of digital infrastructure needs required by various sectors in Indonesia.
Setyanto Hantoro, the President Commissioner of BDDC, stated that the establishment of BDDC aims to create a new force that can provide optimal added value for both domestic business actors and multinational companies in Indonesia.
Angelo Syailendra, the CEO of BDDC, unveiled BDDC as a digital infrastructure platform that prepares data centers in strategic locations equipped with dense and diverse interconnectivity to support the growth of Indonesia's digital ecosystem.
Muhammad Arif, the Chairman of APJII, expressed that the presence of BDDC will further strengthen the data center industry in Indonesia in the future. The rapid growth of the internet in Indonesia in the past four years, coupled with the low level of penetration and scale of the data center industry, creates opportunities for the national data center industry to continue to grow.
"This growth will be supported by the high market demand with the development of global and local cloud service providers, technology companies, and digitalization initiatives implemented by companies in various industries. This clearly requires interconnectivity solutions and data centers in their business processes," said Arif. ***. Hans
